They Build Houses Quick Here In Texas

We are in the process of having a house built in Copperas Cove, Texas by D.R. Horton. Since the lot is only about 15 minutes from our house, we end up going out there at least every couple of days. For the first two weeks or so, progress was a bit slow. But then, this week things really picked up. Just last week, Tuesday, there were still holes in the dirt with the pipes exposed. Then today, when we got our there, we were greeted by this sight:

And here are a couple more angles:

And finally ...

So, quite a bit of progress in just a week. I'm really looking forward to seeing how fast they can go now .. since they appear to be warmed up. ;-)

Keep havin FuN!

  2. Great pics and information you have on your blog. I can see they "build house quick in Texas" by the progress on yours. Looks like you're going to have a gorgeous house by the framing. The pic was made on July 13th, and it's over a week later....I'm sure much progress has been made since then. Keep us updated on your new house. I'm happy for you and Ana and the children....you deserve it!!! God Bless!

  3. Hi Cille!

Thanks ... yes, the outside of the house is pretty much done. We'll probably run out there tomorrow to get some more pictures.

    So how have you been?

  4. Hi Todd!

Once they get all the framing up and the outside finished, it won't take them long to do the inside work, I'm sure. Are you going to brick the outside? I really like the plan you chose.

I've been fine, just busy....hope you have as well. I gotta pack more candles to ship from my inventory. I'm giving my best customers and friends a discount through July so I can close out most of my inventory and start fresh :). We haven't been having many craft shows here in MS due to the hot weather. Hopefully, this Fall/September, they will start up again.

    Take care and stay cool!!
